Research Process

In order to better identify and understand the problems users were facing, we did some research on the different types of people who drink and order bubble tea.

This led us to come up with 3 main user stories.

young adult

I want to order something quick to drink while working so that I can save time given my hectic schedule.

This user story led to features such as the "order in advance" feature so that they can schedule a bubble tea order to come at a specific time, hence reducing waiting time due to delivery.

picky drinker

This user story led to the feature such as the "order history" where it allows the user to conveniently order their previously ordered drinks with a single click.

This saves the user time as their desired sugar level, toppings, ice level, and sizing are all pre selected.

I want to be able to order my go-to bubble tea drink so as to make sure the bubble tea bought is something I will enjoy.

avid fan of bubble tea

I want to try something unique and tasty everyday but I am always spoiled for choices.

This user story led to the feature such as the "popular picks" where it displays the most ordered items near the user at the particular time and date he/she opens the app, making it easier for her to narrow down her choices on what next new thing to try.

Final product

Based on the exploration of ideas and concepts, we began to design the different features.

Next Steps...

When I have a chance to continue working on this project, I will...

... continue working on the screens for different features- such as rewards and daily quests

... continue with user research and interviewing actual bubble tea-addicts to gain more insights

... brainstorm on exciting new features
